How best to give a completed test script to a developer?

Hey, stupid question....

I have a license for TC for Desktop Testing. I have a test that's about 90% done, and I'm starting to think about how my devs might be able to use this test before sending things over to QA.

So what's the process? Do they need a license and a full install of TC as well? Or is there something like an executable I can send to my devs so they can do little spot checks before it comes my way?

    Hi ,

There is no executable could be created.

If you need devs to be run you have to purchase text executes licences.

which is not full version (you can not develop test) just running of test.

My personal view is TC is to do full functional test. Devs can do unit testings depending on technology.

I think QA's duty is not write test to devs they can do it them selves. QA be responsible of entire process... a holistic approach where you advice Dev to built-in quality to code and check those in high level(may be using TC tests).

Our QAs write the TestComplete tests, but we have discussed giving some subset of those tests to the programmers to use as quick regression tests.  If we do this, they'll have TestExecute to run them.  We're still trying to decide which ones to give.  :)
