I think there is still a big misunderstanding and consfusion about webview and it should be mentioned and further explained in the documentation.
What outlook uses is webview2 (developed by microsoft) and i think this is not the same as "webview" that is mentioned in your provided link .Thank you Hasan, I went through this doc but I want to understand if this information stands right for Window application as well?

The way I read it, it is mobile, Android, iOS, and Appium specific; therefore, not intended for Windows applications.
Since mobile automation happens on Window as an application, it may work and also may have issues. If you already have the setup, give it a try to see how far you can go with it.
If no one else on the community have an input, contacting support may provide a better answer.
