Getting "Unable to connect to database" after installing testcomplete!

This question may not be relevant to this forum, but still I believe that someone could help me with this. Let me describe you the issues in detail.



We are working on the Retail suite window based application which has developed with C++, C# .Net, VB. Net and SQL 2005. The application is working well and fine before installed the testcomplete and throwing an issue after installing the testcomplete on our qa environment. And the same has communicated with Development and development has done lots of research on this issue and unfortunately, they could not find out the root cause of the issue. So someone please help us with this.

    Looks like a problem in the tested application, actually - it's hard to imagine how TestComplete can affect its DB connection. Are you sure the same version of the same application will work correctly in the same scenario, but on another machine, where TestComplete is not installed? Also, the error message seems to be a custom one, so could you please ask your developers to share some internal details on the original exception which causes this? The "unable to connect" string might denote too many things - starting with network cable unplugged and ending with a broken data provider installation or wrong connection string.
