Getting "error=13, Permission denied" when trying to set up client on Mac using Perforce

Hello,



I recently downloaded the code collaborator client for mac os and am trying to set it up with Perforce but on clicking Validate in the "Edit SCM Configuration" screen, I'm getting the following error:



Error: Cannot run program "/Applications/p4v.app" (in directory "/Users/macuser/Perforce/perforceWorkspaceName"): error=13, Permission denied.



Please help!

    Hi Rajeshwari,

     


    I've found out that you submitted the support ticket. Let me quote the answer from our Customer Care team here:


    The super account on MAC OS is root, the error message cause is that collaborator GUI doesn't have system permission to access/run another program on your machine. And you will need to download perforce command line p4.exe. Collaborator doesn't work with p4v.exe.
