Getting Catastrophic Failure error very frequently

Hello,



We are using Testcomplete version 8 and during the testscript execution we are getting the error catastrophic failure. This error is coming very radily and it hampers our work a lot.



Request the concern person to look into this issue and provide us the sugesstion to rectify it.



Also find the attached image which is related to the error.

    You'd better contact our Support team regarding this issue.



    BTW, aren't you planning to move to TestComplete 9.10? Most probably, this issue will disappear there.
  • I upgraded to v9.10 yesterday and am now having to completely disable one of our automated tests because I'm getting the catastrophic failure error during the test, and TestExecute hangs indefinitely after that.  This is blocking our entire automation run.



    I am also getting it when I try to examine a certain control in the object browser.  Very frustrating...

    Please collect the following additional information to help our Support investigate the issue:


    1. Run the Report Generator tool shipped along with TestComplete:


    <TestComplete 9>\Bin\ReportGenerator.exe


     


    2. Select the 'Launch/attach to TestComplete' option, and the tool will attach to TestComplete's process.


     


    3. Reproduce the problem in TestComplete


     


    4. Click the 'Generate...' button in the Report Generator tool and save a report to a local folder.


     


    After following the steps, send them the report along with a description of the issue via our Contact Support form.
