FlashInjector does not recognize flex components

I'm trying to record some tests with a flex project but I'm getting the error in the attach image (erro TestComplete.jpg).

In my object browser the components are not recognized as flex objects (object browser.png).

I have done this following configurations:

1- Downloaded the flash debuger (http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_ax_debug_32bit.exe)

2 - I'm trying using the both version of Internet Explorer 9 - 32 and 64 bits;

3 - I've configured the mm.cfg to use the preloader (PreloadSwf=C:\Program Files (x86)\Automated QA\TestComplete 8\Open Apps\Flex\FlashInjector.swf)

4 - Added the full path (... open apps/flex) in the flex security

What am I doing wrong?

  • Last time I tried, IE9 64-bit, it did not work with the debug version of flashplayer.  I saw the same message you have posted.  Therefore, I will recommend sticking with IE9 32-bit version.  This is what we have been using.

    Also, make sure that you have specified IE9 32-bit under TestedApps in your project.  Otherwise, if 64-bit is specified, you will  get the message you are seeing.

    In addition, if you have used notepad to create/edit mm.cfg file, make sure you have not saved it with txt extension.  Try saving it by setting the "Save as Type" to "All Files" in notepad.
