I have more problems with Chrome than anything else.
At least with FireFox, turning off auto-update is easy.
With Chrome, it's not. I've installed the group policy cert and disabled averything in there. I've also disabled the auto-update plugin through the browser plugin interface. And yet the damn thing STILL manages to auto-upadate itself from time to time.
Which is compounded by legacy installers being so hard to find.
Now I download the offline installer each time it updates and keep a copy of it ....
