Evaluating TestComplet

I am currently evaluating TestComplete for usability testing for a set of web widgets.



I am finding TestComplete to be very flaky and I am spending far too much time getting events like starting browsers and navigating right.



Your web navigate command seems to do nothing seems to have a focus bug and your start borwser command sometimes just does not work.



So far a very bad impression



For env info I downloaded your latest (you should know what version) about a day ago



My notebook is Win7 64 bit 

Borwser is firefox latest version

    Another tip with FireFox is to make sure there are no extensions running.

    I added the extension, Ghostery in FireFox and I found it prevented TestComplete from navigating urls. 

    After disabling, Ghostery everything worked fine.

    Firefox is updated quite often. Did you install the patch for the latest browser version from here?


     


    Also, I would recommend that you watch the TestComplete videos describing how to set up web testing. They are located here.


     


    If the issue still persists, please describe it in detail. What is the expected and actual behavior of the test run? What error do you get? Etc.
