ESRI ArcGIS Automation


Hello,


In our application, we make heavy use of ESRI ArcGIS client maps and components.  Using TestComplete 10, I am unable to get the attributes from the datacontext of ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Symbols.GraphicElement.  If I use Snoop, I am able to get a reference to the backing data for the GraphicElement.  


 


I was just wondering if there is a way for me to access this data in the current version of testcomplete.

    I haven't worked with these components. So, I cannot tell you for sure what approach you need to use. 


    I guess it's possible to automate some operations using native methods and properties of controls under test. Also, you can try using supplementary object identification methods such as Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA), UI Automation, or Text Recognition. See the following articles for details:
