Errors with HTTPS Load Testing

This error code means that the server side closed the secure connection prematurely.

On the client side (in TestComplete), it is impossible to find out why this happened.



Does this happen when you run only one virtual user? Is the tested web site accessible on the Internet?

Yes it does occur with a single virtual user.  The amount of users doesn't seem to matter.



The site is available on the internet.

I experience the exact same problem with this URL [removed by admin]

I am currently doing Load Testing on a particular site which is also available on the internet. This served as a sample site for testing however I have encountered the same error message after running the Load Test. Please the list of errors below:



a) Connection 2 of the task assigned to the virtual user [Enter a name] (1) was not simulated. 

b) Connection 0: Unable to decrypt SSL data from the server. Error 0x90317  

c) Connection 9 of the task assigned to the virtual user [Enter a name] (1) was simulated partially. Only 1 of 2 requests were completed.



FYI. We already updated to the latest version. A previous post indicated to install the latest version since most of the connection errors were already addressed.

The problem that causes the "Unable to decrypt SSL data" error is not solved in TestComplete 7.52. We have a fix that solves the problem.

In addition to my previous post, I have not encountered the SSL Error when using the lower version which is TestComplete Ver7.10.475.7.  though the other errors where present.



Also, does the fix resolve this error too?

No, this fix does not resolve the error.

We investigated a similar problem and found out that the "SSL negotiation failed" error occurs because the response of the tested server cannot be handled correctly by Microsoft's HTTPS authentication mechanisms on the TestComplete side. It looks like the error is related to some HTTPS problems on the tested web server that show up more often when the load grows. Most probably, the server-side logs will contain some more information about the problem. Please ask the server admin to look into the logs and check them for any SSL-related errors.

By the way, do you have a link where we can see the list of errors encountered by your Clients who are using TestComplete and the correspnding fixes? Just those general errors that would be applicable to anyone who is using the tool. This would greatly help us.
