Errors when working with 'TcxGrid' VCLObject control

Question

Hi!&nbsp;When working with DevExpress VCLObject component of class 'TcxGrid' I use to have problem when trying to get or use it's cell values.The error occurs when using component's 'wValue', 'wColumnCount' properties, 'ClickCell' method etc.The error says: "Technical information: 103 0x80020006 (Unknown name.) GetItemCount".&nbsp;I'm using Test Complete 12.0.122.7, Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit system (10.0 Build 10586).Our developers work with DevExpress components version 15.2.6.&nbsp;Can you specify what can be causing this problem?

i have the same problem when using 'ClickCell' method.could someone recommend some work around ?

Just to check, have you tried this with the latest version of TC 12 (TC 12.10.602)? It's possible that the Developer Express plug in has a correction in the latest version.
&nbsp;
In the meantime, double check that under File -&gt; Install Extensions -&gt; Common that the Developer Express Control Support plug in is checked. &nbsp;You might also want to try a quick re-install of TC in case something in that plug in got corrupted.Additionally, in your current project properties, under Object Mapping, make sure that the Developer Express Controls -&gt; VCL -&gt; QuantumGrid -&gt; TcxGrid item is checked.

"Our developers work with DevExpress components version 15.2.6"&nbsp;SmartBear docs suggest they support up to ver 14.1.5 - https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/reference/test-objects/controls/desktop/dev-express/vcl/quantum-grid/index.html - so that may be your problem?&nbsp;Is the application compiled with debug info on? As again, the SmartBear docs suggest it needs it?&nbsp;https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-objects/specific-tasks/grids/devexpress-quantum/preparing-application.html

I'm not sure if the docs are not updated or if I'm just reading this wrong but the release notes for TC 12.0 state:"Developer Express controls for Windows Forms ver. 15.2 and 16.1 (see the known issues for ver. 16.1)" are now supported... the Quantum Grid might not be a Windows Forms control so that may be where I'm misreading it but it seems that the TcxGrid SHOULD still work.In any case, follow through with what&nbsp;Colin_McCrae&nbsp;and see if you can get the debug info going.
