Ending the userforms after use

    The way you have this set up, the user form will not close until the procedure has run. (All of the code in the OnClick event has to complete before the modal result of mrOK will occur which results in the form closing.)

     

    Within the OnClick event, set some project suite variables based upon the items checked on the form, etc. that are needed to run the other tests you are currently calling from within the OnClick event. Then move the code that runs those other tests outside of the OnClick event. Once the variables are set, the form will close and then the other tests can run.

     

    You could also try UserForms.MyForm.Hide, but I find that this doesn't always work.

I tried to put mrAbort, mrOK, did not succeed.

Did you set the modal result in the form (see picture below - Modal Result in the right pane Properties box.) or through script? If using script and the modal result within the form is set to mrNone, you have to close the form through your script.

    Modal result set on the property, and not scripted.

    As I shut the modal through the script (command)?

      So the user form's modal result property is set to mrOK. When you click on that button on the user form you want the form to close and the test to start. The test starts but the form is not closed. Do you have any type of event attached to that button in the user form? How do you display the form? According to TestComplete's help,

       

      'If the form is displayed using the ShowModal method, setting the ModalResult property to anything other than mrNone causes the form to close.'

       

      If you do not display the form as ShowModal, then the modal result won't close the form.

        To view the form, write the script this: Userforms.TForm1.ShowModal;

        Yes button has attached event. Even being in Mrok button and event continues with the form.

        To unless I need to set the Modal also the script, which I have not tested. If you can give an example of Mrok in the script?
