Developer Express Document Viewer

I'm working with Developer Express controls v.10t.2.5.0 and am rying to set the position of the vertical scroll bar in the document viewer. I am using the wPosition property and when I change its value, the position of the slider bar within the scroll bar is updated, but the document being viewed remains in the 'top' position.
I've tried calls to the Update method for both the vScrollBar object and the DocumentViewer object after having changed the wPosition value, but this still doesn't change the position of the document. If I manually click on the slider bar, the document's position is updated, but I can't find how to automate this either.
I would be grateful for any asistance anyone has to offer.
