Connecting "SQL Server doe not exists or access denied" error while connecting the SQL 2005 Express version!!!

hi team,  i am getting an sql odbc connection eror while trying to connect the 2005 sql express!!... the error is "ODBC SQL Server Driver ][Named Pipes]SQL Server doe not exists or acces...
