closing and opening app to get starting state for application before every testcase

Greeting! we try to understand about suitable TC for our purposes and we have some questions:



as i understand TC allow run tests only on real device, we can't use iOS simulator at windows.

1) for runing script Mobile device should be connected via usb. but iPad can’t charge battery via PCs USB(only via Mac). This means we should manually switch device for charging it’s battery.

there is a way to workaround this?

2)   Also TC can see elements only inside application as i understand. what can i do if i need change settings for app that located at springboard settings in iOS?

3)  if i have many tests then: every previous test should leave device and application in specified state, ( app is running and  login page is opened)

if current test fail then state will be different and all next tests will be failed too. 

there is a way to close app and run it again to get scratch state of app?
