Received a response from my support ticket after following up again:
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your email.
I’ve confirmed internally that a fix for the Chrome behavior has been implemented and will be included in the upcoming release of TestComplete version 15.77. The release is expected to be available for download early next week.
