Catastrophic failures when attempting Log.AppendFolder("message")

Windows 10, TestComplete 12.60 Hi, Having a terrible time with TestComplete 12.60 64-bit and 64-bit ODBC connection. I have confirmed that I'm using the 64-bit ODBC connectivity. When I start TC, the script (to create a connection, open a connection, run a select statement, and then close the connection) runs fine. But when I try to run the script a second time, TC reports a "catastrophic failure". I have to close TC, and then restart TC, in order to successfully run the script again. Further, the script can successfully create, open, select, and close 3 times and succeed. But if I try rerunning, catastrophic failure. I can even use the project test items to run the script 3 times, each run opening, selecting, closing three times, to success. But if I try rerunning, catastrophic failure. BTW, the 32-bit scenario works fine and always did. Thanks, in advance, for your help.
  • Hi phloweec,

Definitely, it's worth contacting the Support Team as Marsha suggested. To speed up the investigation process, please collect more debug information on your PC and send it to the Team. For this, please do the following:

    1. Run the Report Generator tool located in <TestComplete>\Bin\ReportGenerator.exe.
    2. Select the "Launch/attach to TestComplete" option.
    3. Reproduce the problem.
    4. Click the "Generate..." button in the Report Generator tool and save the report to a local folder.

    Thanks in advance.
