- Philip_BairdCommunity HeroHi Chris, can you be a bit more specific about what type of variable you are referring to?
Regards,
Phil Baird - ChrisProContributorI declare string variables in "Project".
I use this variable in "expression" or "variable" in "Project Suite".
When variables is renamed in "Projet", it is not automatically renamed in all "Project Suite".
Is it a big bug? - Hi Chris,
This functionality isn't implemented in TestComplete. You have to rename the variables manually.
I've created a suggestion in our DB based on your request.
- bromeijn001Occasional ContributorAny update on this? because of the flaw in loadcomplete we are running projects via VisualStudio Ultimate now and it almost makes no sense using loadcomplete anynmore.
- AlexKarasCommunity HeroHi Bob,
LoadComplete is another product by SmartBear and its forum is here: http://smartbear.com/forums/f73/LoadComplete-Forum
However, AFAIR LoadComplete also does not rename variables automatically. (And personally I never had big problems because of this as this is another stimulus to think well in advance and only then try to code. :) ) - bromeijn001Occasional ContributorHello Alexei, when you have straight forward application and you build them up from scratch yourself, you have a point. However....when you receive application that is compiled out of different (3rd party) components and you have short timeliness.....It's not alway that easy,
We also have the issue with testcomplete, but also with load - Marsha_R

Even when the code is all in-house, if the application module gets renamed or especially when a frame gets renamed, then it can send us on a tedious hunt through the test code to fix it.
Please add my vote for having a more complete Find and Replace feature in TestComplete.
Hi,
Marsha, I've added your vote to the suggestion.
