Asynchronous object call failed on Virtual Machine

Hi,

I'm running test execute on a few environment using VM - Vista 32 bit, Win 7 64 bit and also Win Server 2008 64 bit, and encountered  this messages on the result "Asynchronous object call failed" everytime on the machine but not to the specific test script. I haven't encountered this in normal machine. Any idea what can cause this message on VM OS?

  • Hello,

Please note that applications like TestComplete are not supposed to implement any special support for VMs - this is the job of the virtualization software to work just like a real OS does. So, it is unlikely that some TestComplete functionality works differently on the VM. This error may be related to the VM performance - certain calls may fail due to timeout if the VM is slow.

However, we have not seen such problems on our test VMs, and we are not sure what may be causing the error. So, please tell us more about the problem:

On what script line does the problem occur?

What version of TestComplete are you using?

What virtualization software are you using?
