[R]HOW TO STOP working whole testSuite in testSuite-setupScr

In soapUI 2.5.1 (and earlier) it is not possible to stop a running test suite from Groovy.

This feature will arrive in the next major version.

  I solved it by creating one property in TestSuite Properties, and every testCase in that TestSuite has groovy check where this property is loaded and compare to true/false,

  Then I can stop running every one testCase separateli one by one with this command :


if(context.getCurrentStep().getTestCase().getTestSuite().getPropertyValue("availableToRun").compareTo("false")==0 ) testRunner.cancel("testCase forced to canceled by testSuite property - avaiableToRun")

Has this been implemented? I am using the next major release (the original post referenced 2.5.1 and I am using 3.6.1).
If it has been implemented, could you point me to the feature request URL on your site and to the means of cancelling the entire test suite from a Groovy script step?

is there a solution available now?
I am also using 3.6.1 and i want to stop the execution of all testcases in the project if some condition fails in the setup of testsuite.
I am looking for something.. testSuiteRunner.cancel("i am done")

i would also need a solution for stopping the whole TestSuite. Anything new??

any update on this feature ??

say if my setup test case is failed then no point in running rest of the test suites or its test cases.

testRunner.cancel() with return null --> skips only test case and continues to run rest of test suites and test cases

we need a solution to completely stop the test execution like testRunner.quit() --> which will kill the test runner not to run any more.

or if any other solution like gotoTestSuiteByName("End") then we can skip test cases and test suites from execution.

please help us soon !!

Try runner.fail(<your error message>) and see if that helps.
