Problems trying to set values in groovy script

I too was having the same problem that as I try to set property values using a groovy script without success, it runs without any error but the values are not getting changed. This thread has really solved the problem. I have followed the steps that McDonald told and the problem has vanished. Now the values are changing without any problem.
