compare response of a failed test step to the "contains" assertion and log differences

I've been searching for a way to compare the response of a failed test step to the "contains" assertion of that test step, and spit out just the differences into a log file called that teststepname/l...

    Cool, i've been working on this non stop and I've got this so far (thanks to everyone for the help)

     

    import com.eviware.soapui.model.testsuite.Assertable.AssertionStatus

    def TestCase = testRunner.getTestCase()
    def StepList = TestCase.getTestStepList()

    StepList.each
    {
    if(it.metaClass.hasProperty(it,'assertionStatus'))
    {
    if(it.assertionStatus == AssertionStatus.FAILED)
    {
    log.error "${it.name} " + "${it.assertionStatus}"
    }
    }
    }

Hi Rao, No, lol. My problem is that I'm just not good at coding (i'm a tester trying to learn). I'm still trying to figure out how to put the testStep response into a variable (in the script) then add that testSteps assertion into a seperate variable (then I can do the compare and spit the differences to a log) I've posted my code (so far) to SO http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30780894/compare-line-by-line-failed-teststep-response-to-a-teststep-assertion-contains I'm busy going through soapUI API documentation but... its taking a while

    That way requires writing to a file, which can't happen on the server with limited space - these responses are going to be huge, and many and frequent. Also this wants me to put everything into a property but all I want to use is two variables

      Reading the original problem description one more time:

      A : If the test step fails, soapui automatically logs what is failed

       

       

      Quoting: I need a groovy script that's going to sit at the end of the test case and run through all failed test steps

       

      A : If the test step fails some where in the middle of the test case, the execution will be stopped at the failed step, groovy script step will not be executed as you wanted / intended to do.

        I was building it that way too but i was shown in the testCaseEditor-->options how to switch off "abort test if an error occurs", allowing us to test a whole lot more at once, alot easier :) Using soapUI 5.1.3
