ReadyAPI CPU 100%

I know there are floating around topics about SoapUI / ReadAPI utilizing 100% of CPU but none of the topics specifically touch on the application issues i'm having.   1.  ReadyAPI iteslef maxes 1...

    Had the same problem.Do you have a 16 GB RAM machine? If so you will have to add an entry for the 16 GB RAM  machine. 

     

    Keep in mind that every time you install a new version of SoapUI you need to update this file because it gets written over. 

     

    Take a look at the vmoptions file. You may need to update it to this (change the path name and version if it is different):

     

    -Xms128m

    -Xmx16000m

    -Dsoapui.properties=soapui.properties

    -Dsoapui.home=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/bin

    -Dsoapui.ext.libraries=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/bin/ext

    -Dsoapui.ext.listeners=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/bin/listeners

    -Dsoapui.ext.actions=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/bin/actions

    -Dwsi.dir=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/wsi-test-tools

    -Dsoapui.jxbrowser.disable=true

    -Djava.library.path=C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-1.4.0-m-SNAPSHOT/bin

    -Djava.util.Arrays.useLegacyMergeSort=true

    -Dsun.net.http.allowRestrictedHeaders=true

    -XX:MaxPermSize=128m

You mean to say 64 bit (instead of 16 bit)?

      Thank you for the reply,

       

      To be sure:

       

      -Xmx16000m  (is this what you mean to put correct?)

       

      also I didn't have:  -XX:MaxPermSize=128m in my file either

       

       What about the Ready-api.bat file?  it has the entry also:

      set JAVA_OPTS=-Xms128m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -

       

      Not sure if that needs to be adjusted?

       

      I've tried this before - but not adding any entries as you have.

      I did add what you pasted and I see no difference (unless I need to reboot)

        Ugh! I'm such an idiot. LOL

         

        Here's what I meant. (Not what I said)

         

        I have Windows 7 64-bit operating system with 16 GB of RAM

         

        The RAM is the key to the Xmx### option. I changed the Xmx option to 16000m (=16GB) to reflect that. Previously it was set to 8000m - indicating I only had 8G of RAM. Making that change and the other highlighted line obtained from SB totally took care of the problem. Haven't had it since.
