ReadyAPI 2.0?
So has anyone gotten a chance to use it yet? What are your thoughts so far? I'm in the middle of preparing for a huge series of testing so I haven't upgraded yet.
I wanted to attend the webinar but ended up in meetings and tied up with delivery work. I wonder if it's online as a recording. I'll have to check that out.
I'm holding off until after things slow down a bit. I am eager to see all the differences and improvements.
groovyguy, personally I only tend to upgrade if there is new functionality or fixes I actually need, as I've found it quite a time consuming process to regression test all of our tests with a new version (if it ain't broke, don't fix it.), but saying that I usually do download and give it a try and always keep an eye on the forums for any comments/issues.
Debz, The comment about deprecating the The DataGen test step in favour of the Data Generator data source of the DataSource test step concerns me as well. We primarily use the DataGen test step with script type properties, thus we can collect together a number of related properties each generated by it's own independent Groovy script. It does not seem that there is a direct replacement for the DataGen script type property. Also I would like to understand what SmartBear mean by "Deprecated"? Is it still usable? Will it be removed in a future version? I would be interested in hearing what other people think.
