I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the "compare" results in Groovy, but you can use script assertions to compare results and fail.
If talking about other steps not failing have you checked the test step basic options for your test step in question? In particular the "Fail Test Case on Error" option.

PFA the screenshot.
I have a baseline for my test case and I am comparing my current run witht eh baseline results.
When there is a difference it shows the test step name which has difference.
I want to fail the Test step in case there is a difference with baseline results.
