How to update the XML value fetched from database

Hi

I am stucked with one situation and please let me know if anyone have the solution for the same
Scenario - I fetch the XML from the database and it comes in one property and now I need to update some tag value of that XML as I need to use it for further use so I just wanna know how can I update that tag value and can again reuse it?

Please let me know if I can use groovy for the same so that I can update that tag value for that XML and it stores in one property and then I can use that property to process that XML again.
