Choosing User Credentials for Diff Environment

I have a situation wherein I have to choose different user credentials based on the environment. How can I pass the user account based on the environment variable? Not looking for the methodology ...

    What sort of credentials are you using / how are they set up? I know when I set up my environments, I can choose from all of the WSS-Configs I've set up in a drop down menu for that environment.
