This is an issue with HermesJMS and not SoapUI.
Did you add the <activemq install>\lib\activemq-core-5.4.3.jar and <activemq install>\lib\geronimo-j2ee-management_1.1_spec-1.0.1.jar to a class path group and use in the loader?
I'm using Active MQ 5.4.3 and it works for me.
