User call for peer networking and best practices?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a regularly scheduled call for peer networking and conversation about QAComplete?  I used to be part of a quarterly call with other North American customers of a common app we all used.  We would discuss upcoming releases, any questions that had previously been submitted, etc., and the moderator would also help with any requests to connect with a user one on one.  In example, if a company was working through a process related issue or needed to create a work around, the moderator would help connect them with a peer that has experience in that area. We found it extremely helpful, and were wondering if anything like that was available with SmartBear that we maybe just didn't know about?

Thank you!

  • Hi Jamie,

Thank you so much for reaching out! I run our customer programs here at SmartBear and would love to kick off a program like this once again.

Could you tell me a little more about the format?

When was the last time you attended a virtual networking event like this?

Do you have time to connect this week? I can coordinate a quick chat to ask you about this program and other programs customers like you would like to attend.

    Thanks,

    Christina

      Hi Christina,

Thank you for the quick reply!  I have time to talk this week, please feel free to set something up.

Sure!  The group was a SIG (special interest group), and was facilitated by the SIG Chair.  The SIG chair was also a customer, and this was an elected position. In addition to facilitating the quarterly call, the SIG chair also fielded questions from other users, and coordinated with the app technical team to have them share the answer during the quarterly call (WebEx).  These were general questions that could apply to other customers, and nothing that would overshare company info. It was also a time for the app owners to share any news or ask questions (hot fix details, training available or what other training options would we like to see, etc). If we had a specific question for a peer, or something that couldn't wait for the call, we could reach out to the SIG Chair, and he would help identify a peer for us to speak to.  When the two peers spoke, he would either be on the call as well, or coordinate with an app owner/specialist to make sure someone was on the call that could answer any additional questions that came up.

I've moved into a different role, but was previously a system admin for an app that offered the SIG calls. Its been just over a year for me, but the calls still take place with the current system admin (I just confirmed this morning).

      Thank you,

      Jamie
