Synthetic monitoring by SoapUI?
We have a SoapUI testsuite for each Web Service for the purpose of verification after deployments by operational personell. These testsuites verify if the Web Services are operational from a service consumers viewpoint.
We also consider setting up a sort of "synthetic monitoring" - that is running a similar set of tests regulary - to at an early stage detect any incidents bringing the Web Services down for our service consumers.
Can this be done by SoapUI - for example by setting up such testsuites to be run regulary - say every 5 minutes and report any services going down to an external monitoring software bye any suitable protocol..
