soapUI - GUI is not displaying anything

Hi

I have downloaded and installed soapUI last week. A blank window is opening when I try to run soapUI.  Its not displaying any menus, tool bar and windows/frames except "starter page" within the GUI. Not sure why it is not displaying anything. FYI, my laptop has 2.5GB RAM and enough hard disk space. I am facing this kind of problem only on soapUI.

Anyone help me one this?  Thanks in advance.

regards
Ramesh

  • Having almost identical issue to cschettle. Context menus and main menus are blank. Running 3.5 on Win32.
  • Hi there,

has there been any progress on this?

I have just downloaded soapUI and am having pretty much the exact same problem. Managed to create a project and test suite ok. However, within about 1 minute of general UI navigation (moving the mouse, exploring menus, scrolling windows etc.), the contents of the soapUI window quickly degenerates into a mess of partially drawn rectangles, with no/few icons. Moving the mouse pointer around, the menus & icons are temoroarily re-drawn. It certainly looks like a fundamental problem with the screen painting.

This happens with both the "soapui-3.5.1-windows-bin.zip" download, and also when the app is installed using "soapUI-x32-3_5_1.exe".

    FYI, my setup is :
    XP/SP3 32 bit.
    JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_18

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Gareth
  • Hello:

Urgent! need immediate fix to this issue in soapUI 3.5.1 pro!

I have the same GUI repaint problem after installations using all three downloads "soapui-3.5.1-windows-bin.zip", "soapUI-x32-3_5_1.exe" & "soapui-pro-3.5.1-win32-standalone-bin.zip" (this one bundled with 1.6 jre).

The problem remains even I tried the option:
    set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Dsoapui.jxbrowser.disable="true"
in C:\soapUI-Pro-3.5.1\bin\soapui-pro.bat as suggested in following post claiming problem fixed
    http://soapuiwww.eviware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2691.

    My OS is :
    XP version 2002 with SP3 32 bit.

    Thanks for your support.
