Linux SOAPUI: 5.2.1 can't start application , get blank splash screen , then hangs

Having issues today, I tried to put a message here on Chrome at work, and it won't even access this message screen.  So I am hoping I can start this thread and go back to work and update it with a screenshot and log values.

I start up soap ui and the app opens with a blank splash screen and then just seems to hang. I know I solved this a year ago, and I can't find my notes.

    The answer was this. I was opening on Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) and the display was Highest Quality (32 bit), changed to High Color (16 bit) and it acually opened.
