Issue Installing Trial Version Of SOAPUI Pro

I'm very interested in trying out the additional features in the pro version, especially the parts about data input/output capturing without scripting in groovy. My group is looking into potnetially using the pro version to run automated web service regression testing.


However, I'm running into issues in installing the pro. I downloaded the zip file, extract the files and ran the installation command and kept on getting the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/smardec/license4j
/LicenseNotFoundException

The command I ran: soapui-pro.bat

(I could not use Window Installer as it gave excpetion right away. So I downloaded the zip file. I do have the temporary two-week liscence key in the email received after registering the trial download).

Please advise.

    strange indeed! Exactly which zip file did you download? What error are you getting when using the installer?

    I downloaded the zip file from the web page that list the trial version of the zip file.  I no longer could get to the web page. That web page seemed to be only available after a registration of a trail copy. Hope this might help you to determine which version -I downloaded it yesterday.

    The error encountered is the same one mentioned in the previous post: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/smardec/license4j
    /LicenseNotFoundException

    Again, the command ran was soapui-pro.bat.  Let me know if you need anything else.

    I'm really looking fowarding trying out the data editing (click and drop) features asap.

    updates:
    -downloaded the zip file from the web page provided below - still encountering  the same error

    -clicked on the button 'WebStart Now' and installation stalled halfway throught

    - downloaded a zip file from the nightly build. Zip file name is soapui-pro-2.5.2-bin.zip.  Got this error when exacting the files using Winzip:  "End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not a Zip file, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part Zip file."

    BTW, I have no problem downloading, installing and using the free version of soapui. 

    Please let me know what else I could do to get the PRO version installed.

    Hello,
    The issue is resolved by 1)contacting our support department removing firewall on the machine temporarily and 2)use the Installer option on the webpage.  For whatever reasons, the zip file instllation option only works with the regular soapui and doesn't work with the pro version.

    Anyway, issue closed here. Making progress on setting up test case. Looking into an easy way of extracting response data into Excel Datasink (not looking forward typing into 50+ properties). Is there already a dialogue going on somewhere?
