Allow "Restrict Access" default settings to be per-group
Currently in Collaborator (up to 13.1) there is only a single server-side global setting for restricting access to reviews (Admin > System > Access Restrictions > Restrict Access to Review). We want to customize this on a per-group basis. Some of our groups want to allow Group Based by default, others want Participants and Group based to be the default, and still others want their group's reviews to be available to everyone. Is there a way for Collaborator to look at the history of a file when an SVN add occurs? Right now, with TortoiseSVN, most of the time an SVN mv is done as an SVN rm and SVN add. As a result, when we set up a review that contains a file that this has been done to, Collaborator shows the file as being deleted and then as a completely new file, so that we cannot see the changes that actually occurred in the source code.jkresse5 years agoOccasional Visitor600Views0likes0CommentsProvide the GUI implementation for changes to LDAP/AD authentication settings

Currently the time spent on a review is accrued by the following: "The license will remain assigned to the user for as long as there is a Collaborator tab open in the browser. The license will be returned to the pool once all Collaborator tabs are closed, and one hour has passed." This leads to inaccurately high review times if a user leaves the Collaborator review open in an inactive tab. These inflated review times incorrectly skew the time-based metrics, almost rendering them useless. One idea to combat this would be to have an inactivity timer built in to the review to make sure time is calculated as accurately as possible.bsummers5 years agoNew MemberNew Idea692Views0likes0CommentsAdd more filtering options to VS plugin

In Collaborator, a reviewer can click “Send To Completed” to approve a review – when they do, they can choose what kind of event would remove the approval. - A file upload, or just any activity at all, like a comment. The review Author can see the approval in the participants section, but the author cannot tell whether adding a comment would wipe out the approvals or not. It would be helpful if the author could see how volatile an approval is. Will the approval only be removed if the reviewer is poked? If a file is uploaded? Or if any comment whatsoever is made? Given that approvals can have different levels of volatility, it would be useful for the Author to see that – perhaps as a tooltip over the Approval state in the participants summary area.jcf7 months agoOccasional VisitorNew Idea459Views0likes1Comment'Prev' button should be on the left, 'Next' button should be on the right.
In older versions of Collaborator (such as version 8), the buttons for Prev and Next had words and arrows - Prev had a left pointing arrow, on the left. Next had a right pointing arrow on the right. That made sense. It was intuitive and consistent with other interfaces. In newer versions of Collaborator, the buttons have up and down arrows, but what is most puzzling is that the 'Prev' button is on the right and the 'Next' button is on the left. It is counter-intuitive, and in contrast most GUIs I've seen to have prev on the right and next on the left. Perhaps it should be configurable with localization, if it should be this way for those who read right-to-left. English is left-to-right, and an English installation/configuration of Collaborator should have 'prev' on the left and 'next' on the right.jcf5 years agoOccasional VisitorNew Idea406Views0likes0CommentsIn VS extension, there's no way to add overall comments/defects for newly added files

Since Collaborator uses the Subversion command-line client and its native commands to fetch the data from the local SVN repository or the SVN server, Collaborator will abort the entire uploading process if at least one of the outputs of the native commands will be unexpected or contain an error. This is done to prevent losing data or uploading the incorrect files to the Collaborator server. It would be good if CodeCollaborator would be able to handle importing a review from which a file has been removed during a merge to handle this differently. i.e:continue to import the files it could parse, and maybe put up a warning or something, rather than aborting the import.neluvasilica5 years agoRegular VisitorNew Idea677Views0likes0CommentsReviews should include the name of Git branches from which the commits/changes were uploaded

In notification-related documentation, we can find that Collaborator does not send repeated notifications: When Collaborator Does Not Send Notifications Collaborator does not send repeated notifications. If several events occur within the review, then only the notification of the first event is sent. After which, the notification recipients have their state set to "Active". They will not receive further notifications, except for phase change notifications. For some type of messages (eg. chat responses) this behavior leads to missed messages and increasing of review time. As a workaround, we may use the "Poke" feature, but it has some drawbacks: I may forget to poke and I have to explain to every review member about this behavior. Part feature request, part bug fix. We're using cc with the server running 11.2.11200 We have a large group, with thousands of people in the instance. When I go into the administration portal and try to add people to groups, there's a performance bug.Eg: Users that are members of this Group When I start typing names into the "available users" field, sometimes it lags horrendously and can take 15+ seconds to return my window to responsiveness. Names that start with "d" are really bad, for example. Names that start with "b" are less of a problem. I think this is due to the algorithm matching any part of the username or email. "d" will just be more common. What I'd like to see is if it waits 0.5-1.0 seconds after I finish typing before it triggers the search. If I can get even just 2 letters into the box, then the performance problem should disappear. Currently, I'm working around this by typing in another window and then copy+pasting the name in. I also trigger it with an empty text box, so it's matching for every name that contains "".sgosling6 years agoVisitorNew Idea504Views0likes0CommentsDiff Viewer - Toggle line endings
