Option to lock the Project Explorer tree when switching tabs
When you open multiple scripts in TestComplete, the selected tab is automatically highlighted in the Project Explorer. I can see how this is useful because it shows where that script is located. However, when I'm working with multiple scripts, I find it frustrating to lose my current selection in the Project Explorer tree when I switch tabs. We are using several levels of folders, so every time I go back to the Project Explorer, I have to scroll around or collapse folders to find what I'm looking for. It would be nice if there was an option to disable this feature, so the Project Explorer could remain as is regardless of my tab selections. That way I would have control over which folders are expanded and where the scroll is located.4.4KViews12likes9CommentsTab view instead of many open windows
SoapUI gives a window for each opened entity (testcase, teststep, request, etc.) and this is good. Only if you have more than 10 windows open, it is really annoying to switch between windows and find the window you want. Instead, it could work with a tab view (one window with a tab for every open window): at the top of the window, a title for each tab (previously: each window) and the option to close this tab (a small cross button). No maximize or minimize buttons, maximized as standard view of the window. Working with tabs is much more organized than lots of windows which you can't get an overview of. By dragging a tab outside the top line with tabs, the tab is moved to a smaller window without tabs (the window-view currently in production).1.8KViews6likes0CommentsTabbed windows, as in modern browsers or Visual Studio
It would be very convenient to work with several windows if they were organized as tabs, as in modern browsers. Now, to quickly switch between windows, you have to reduce their size and change the position of each other so that one window looks out from under the other. See attached screenshot.5.5KViews3likes1CommentWorkspace tab behavior
Actual the tabs are sorted by activational order. When you close one, the next focused tab will be the last opened. But it´s very annoying if you have more then 10 tabs opened in your workspace. So i would suggest to sort these tabs by positional order.3.6KViews2likes3Comments
