Hi Guys, Background: So currently for my git setting in project suit I am doing following setting: Tools menu -> Default Project Properties, there to Project -> Visualizer and turn off "Bind Visualizer frame to SCC". Now no Visualizer frames from newly created projects will be added to Git, but will still be accessible locally. also ignore all png files by adding it to .gitignore file. Therefore no png images from visualizer and even the whole Visualizer is not getting pushed to git. Issue: When I do git pull from the repository and open the project suite automatically Visualizer folder is created in each Project. But as soon I open our Project suit I am getting error for visualizer file. (refer attachment below). Query: 1 Anyone can help me to explain why this error is coming 2 Should I push visualizer file to git or not? 3 Does TestComplete automatically created Visualizer folder and try to load it even when not there? Thanks in advance for the help930Views0likes1CommentRe: Disable device cloud extension through automation in test Execute 14.4
I tried different approach. So i have automated the below process using keyword test in Test Complete. right-click the TestExecute iconin the notification area (tray) and selectInstall Extensionsfrom the context menu. Uncheck device cloud.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Save log automatically when executing Test in TestComplete through TestExecute
So I have 1 project suite and within in few project. Within project we have our test cases which we are adding at project level to run I am running all test cases using command line. Where I create a batch file with test execute command and give location of our test. And we run that batch file. So basically we are using test execute to run the test cases.945Views0likes2CommentsRe: Save log automatically when executing Test in TestComplete through TestExecute
Hey , Thank you you so much for explaining it so well. I have alternative to do use Keyword test and click yes on confirm dialog. But if i can access TestExecute object i python or vbscript it would be helpful for me for trying to close it via keyword test.963Views0likes5CommentsRe: Save log automatically when executing Test in TestComplete through TestExecute
> No. On the given box at the given moment of time test case can be run either via TestComplete or via TestExecute. Either TestComplete or TestExecute can be started, but not both. They are two separate applications and do not call each other during runtime (though definitely contain some identical functional blocks). So I am starting TestComplete. I feel TestExecute is internally opening TestComplete. Because I can see the pop up( Please refer Attachment). Any other idea why this pop up is coming? When i run this commandTestExecute.exe"C:\Work\SmartBear\TestExecute\Projects\My\MySuite.pjs" /r /p:MyProj (with other self healing, export log and do not Show log parameter). I see the attached pop up coming up. > Any real problem with the /Silent parameter? Yes it can disable few error pops or warning which is important to look at. I don't want to miss such pop ups. And it is not feasible to look at silent.log file every time2.2KViews0likes7CommentsRe: Save log automatically when executing Test in TestComplete through TestExecute
Hi, So when i run test case in TC through Test Excute 14.4 following pop up comes up. So internally is TestExecute is opening Testcomplete? After the automation completes i get following confirm dialog My main aim is not to get this pop up. As this is hindrance to smooth execution of 1000+ test case through automation. This pop requires manual intervention i.e someone to click on yes/no. Any other way apart from /silentmode parameter to avoid this pop up?2.2KViews0likes9CommentsRe: Save log automatically when executing Test in TestComplete through TestExecute
Thank you . That's a great idea. But the issue is I am not launching TestComplete. I think on running test cases in TestComplete through TestExecute, TestExecute internally launches TestComplete in hidden mode. Because when test execution begins I can see notification, Project opening. So is there any way that TestComplete doesn't launch by itself? Or can testcomplete process be killed before confirm dialog comes up?2.3KViews0likes11Comments
