PopupMenu item cannot be clicked during playback even it is mapped with Point & Fix
Hello, There are TestedAppExe I______ SubMenuControlForm I______PopupMenu controls in my keyword test. They cannot be seen in Object Browser, because they are visible only after rightclicking on a GUI object. (This means PopupMenu is the context menu of this GUI object). I let them recognized by Point&Fix in Object Spy, so now they are mapped as following in Name Mapping: SubMenuControlForm -> ClrFullClassName: DevExpress.XtraBars.Forms.SubMenuControlForm WndCaption:Empty Index:1 PopupMenuBarControl ->ClrFullClassName: DevExpress.XtraBars.Controls.PopupMenuControlForm WndCaption:Empty During playback, when rightclicking on the GUI object, popup menu is opened, but popup menu cannot be recognized somehow (even though it seems mapped already) and TestComplete starts waiting for it endlessly (with an information message in the right-upper corner: "Waiting for the object"). Test steps are as following: 1- PanelControl ClickR ... (Rightclicking on the GUI object to open popup menu) 2-SubMenuControlForm PopupMenu Click "MenuItemX" (This cannot be selected) Besides, in CurrentProjectProperties > ObjectMapping, Developer Express Controls are enabled only. Can you help us? Thanks.720Views0likes1CommentMoving floating license between separated networks - How many times allowed?
Hello, Once again a question about moving licenses (this time floating license): We have two different, separated and closed networks (network A and B). Let’s assume, we are using a floating license in network A (This means our TestComplete license server is located in network A). If we need to move the floating license from network A to B and then back, how many times are we allowed to move it? (And does it mean uninstalling floating license server in network A and reinstalling it in network B? ) Thanks in advance..648Views0likes1CommentMoving Node-locked licenses wrt. floating licenses
Hello, We have a test network consisting of a dozen of desktop computers, which are subjected to be changed regularly (Some PCs are going to be replaced with another ones, regularly). And test network has no internet connection. Which one is a better solution for us? Installing 2 node-locked licenses on 2 different test computers. And when the replacement time has arrived, moving these licenses to the new coming 2 test computers.. Installing 2 floating licenses on a License Manager computer. And when the replacement time has arrived, moving these licenses to the new coming License Manager Computer.. (By the way, can we run TestComplete on License Manager computer as well?) What if we want to use node-locked TestComplete licenses in combination with TestExecute licenses in the future? I have read that TestExecute need floating licenses). Thanks for your support.879Views0likes2CommentsComboBoxPopupListBox.ClickItem("ComboBoxMenuItem1") does not work
Hello, I want to test an standalone desktop application, which is written in C#. For this, I recordedsome test steps and while replayingI've seen that TestComplete can recognize UI elements like EditBox, PushButton etc. , but it cannot click into ComboBoxobject toselect its items. Recorded test steps are as following: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx //Clicks at the point (178,7) of the FormElementobject. Aliases.appX.FormElementContainingComboBoxPopUpForm.Click(178,7) ; ->pass Delay(2000); //Clicks the ComboBoxMenuItem1. Aliases.appX. appXComboBoxPopupForm.ComboBoxPopUpListBox.ClickItem("ComboBoxMenuItem1"); ->FAIL xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In the test run log: Unable to find the object ClickItem("Bilinmiyor "). Additional Info: The object with the specified attributes does not exist. Tested object: Aliases.hskks.HskksComboBoxPopupForm.ComboBoxPopupListBox xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In order to get rid of blank chars inClickItem("Bilinmiyor "), we used ClickItem("Bilinmiyor*"); but it does not help. I am using a trial version, so C# is not supported there; therefore I had to choose Javascript as scripting language. May this cause this object-recognition problem?644Views0likes1Comment
