Re: Issues with new chrome
trust me when I say that it is better to revert back to Chrome version 67. Even though I installed the new extension from SmartBear, it was still acting quirky and unreliable for certain tests that worked before. It wasn't breaking on every test. Just was acting too 'unreliable'. Therefore I uninstalled 68 and installed 67.1.7KViews1like0CommentsRe: Smartbear test extension is disabling in chrome browser.
THANK YOU so much for this link. I have been trying to get this extension back into Chrome for almost two days and I have worked through every article & comment I could find. Even worked through trying to force it within registry via 'gpReg.js'1.9KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Smartbear test extension is disabling in chrome browser.
if the test extension is being disabled then it may not be configured correctly like said above. However, today I experienced an issue with Chrome and my TC when using objectSpy. It would only recognize the window object. Kind of like firefox was doing to several individuals last week. I admit I have not used the objectSpy in a little while, but I know it worked last time it was used (especially in Chrome). I checked the properties for it on my test machine and found all my 'switches' were gone. Dunno, possibly because of an update to either my browser or even my machine. So hopefully easy answer for you is just to work through the preparing document. I am doing that right now myself. Crossing my fingers as well. currently Chrome version: 68.0.3440.75 with Date Modified: 07/23/2018 04:13 PM EDT2KViews1like1CommentRe: Help selecting dynamic item from a drop down Panel
Working with dropdown lists https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-objects/specific-tasks/standard/combobox/drop-down-lists.html TcxComboBox is a good one. https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/reference/user-forms/components/tcxcombobox.html If you are scripting then it may be easier to just use the index value of the checkbox from the list.2.6KViews1like5CommentsRe: Invisible Checkbox, can't select
HiMario87. This appears to be a common issue with several individuals asking questions on the forum. If you are not finding the answer in other forum topics, then may have to contact SmartBear's TestComplete Support. Here is a post about similar issues within Firefox object identification. https://community.smartbear.com/t5/TestComplete-Functional-Web/Is-TestComplete-compatible-with-FireFox/m-p/167843#M328832.6KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Get & Set Cookie - Advice/Best Approach Assistance
cunderw Thank you for the reply. I was thinking that may be the issue. I hesitated going that aproach at first because I thought there may be some work around or some of the API testing processes in TC. I already have SOAPUI installed on machine and am going to go look into this now. Appreciate the reply and suggested approach.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsGet & Set Cookie - Advice/Best Approach Assistance
Been racking my brain with documentation for days on this one and need to move on from it or find different ways to achieve this. So our web application gives the logged-in user a few unique identifiers post login that are set in the header. ASP.Net, {company specific UID}, __RequestVerificationToken. I don't want to pretend that I understand why we need all of them, but I have compared session headers and these are the ones I need to get & hold while the test(s) run [while keeping browser window open]. Test Scenario: - Login (user with specific permissions) - Navigate to pages throughout application - Verify each page responds with a200 Response I have read all the SmartBear documentation on helper objects aqHttp, aqHttpRequest, aqHttpResponse, XMLHttpRequest, etc. and I just cannot nail it down for getting it accomplished. TestComplete ver.12.50.4142.7 Anyone out there that has accomplished something similar or can lend advice? Thanks in advance. -DSolved1.8KViews0likes4CommentsRe: How do I initiate a receive email action for outlook
I have never done this with automation scripts. However, in the Outlook GUI you are able to just hit the [F9] key and it will do a Send/Receive of All folders (or this is also a clickable button that triggers the action as well). Shot in the dark here, but would it possibly be as simple as using Keys(F9)then a Delay(2000) in the script (assuming the GUI is already open & active)?1KViews0likes0Comments
