Re: TestComplete cannot find process
Hello, I followed your example and the result was kind of surprising: When running the rest on TestComplete, the process is still not found, but when launching it (the same test and the same code) on TestExecute, the process is found and the test passed. Thank you for your feedback!1.8KViews0likes0CommentsTestComplete cannot find process
Hello, We automate test cases for a desktop application inTestComplete V12.42 and all test are run on a test machine, using TestExecute V12.42 where is configured Team Foundation Build Service. The application has a windows serviceand when trying to access it in TestComplete (Sys["Process"]("WebService.Service")["Exists"]) the test fails ("The process "WebService.Service" was not found"), although the process is displayed in task manager. Also, when looking into Object browser, the process is not displayed there. The "Show all processes" option is already selected and so is the "Show all process" checkbox in Process filter dialog, yet the process is not displayed in this section. We got stuck since, at some point, Sys["Process"]("WebService.Service")["Exists"]) worked as expected. Can you tell what we are missing or give us more information in order to determine why this process cannot be identified? Hello everyone, We have several test cases split in batches. When running all batches one by one all test cases are passing, but when running chained batches, there are some tests that are constantly failing due to "window invisible" error. We tried to investigate if there are some left overs remained between test cases, but as we can see, the application is cleaned up before staring a new test case. Environment details: The test cases are developed in TestComplete V12.42 and are run on a test machine, using TestExecute V12.42 where is configured Team Foundation Build Service. Could anybody give us an idea of what could lead to this strange behavior? Thanks in advance!701Views0likes1CommentTestExecute process crashes while tests are running.
TestExecute process crashes while tests are running. I havechecked Event Viewer and this is the error message which appears every time TestExecute runs ("The TestComplete 12 Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 16 time(s). ") Also, Iinstalled and configured DebugDiag app in order to capture the crash dump and no one of the processes we have configured was triggered. The processes which were configured were: - services.exe - TestCompleteService12.exe Can you tell what I'm missing or give me some more information in order to determine why TestExecute process crashes.719Views0likes1Comment
