Debug information for MFC controls
Hello, I am working with an application that uses the MFC controls. I received the PDB files from the developers and I have them in my application's folder. I have a script executed, that starts the application from Windows command line. I have the options "Enable debug agent" and "Read debug information for statically linked libraries" enabled. Yet, I see TestComplete pointing out that there is no debug information for MFC controls. I have 2 questions regarding this issue: 1. What action does TestComplete expect after providing the PDB files in the application's folder? 2. How does TestComplete know where to look for the files, given that the path to the application folder is mentioned only in the script that starts the application? An explanation of what needs to be done next, after providing the PDB files in the application's folder would be helpful. Hello! NameMapping has 2 trees - Mapped objects and Aliases. My understanding is, the former is the "original" tree, while the latter is a "copy" because, changes made to the former (for example, deleting an object) affects the latter, but not vice versa. My question is, if objects are named differently in the Aliases tree, then the objects in this tree do not anymore have the name assigned by the developers. In this case, how is TestComplete able to identify the right object with the Aliases name on tests? How are the objects on Aliases tree and Mapped objects tree referenced to each other? Thanks in advanceSolved1.5KViews0likes3Comments
