Re: Use addEventListener for keyboard action
AlexKaras I was trying to find out if the eventListener would be helpful in simulating Keyboard action to help me input values in a textbox. What I posted in solution does the work, but I was trying to find out way to Key values into a textbox <input type="text" id="ccPxk_01"> one by one. If I use Alias Mapping for a textbox, it's fairly easy to do it by using Keys() method, but in this case where I'm using contentDocument object, the method Keys() is not supported. I got that working using the following. This is what I was looking for. This was very easy, but the autocomplete feature never suggested any such property. var txtbxq = pgx.contentDocument.getElementById('cxqInput'); txtbxq.value = ValForPhn; I'd still be curious to know what the addEventListener() could have done this such case. I didn't want to create an Alias mapping of this object for so many reasons. One of the reasons is, it has so many layers, and TC tries to map every single object in the path (I know this is how it works, but I'm avoiding that in some cases). Using contentDocument, I can directly access the object using getElementById. Regardless, I'm still hoping I can find a better way to instruct this for an action on this control since getElementById is a native DOM method. HiMarsha_R, I tried other functions such as Keys(), and SetText(). it doesn't support these functions. Probably because, I'm accessing the UI object using contentDocument. That's the reason I'm trying to explore other methods using which, I can set a text value in the textbox. Also, I'm doing it in Javascript, so any example that you have other than keyword, please suggest. Thank you!1.7KViews0likes6CommentsUse addEventListener for keyboard action
Hi, I've to input some textvalue in a textbox using the addEventListner because other options are not working out. var txtbxq =pgx.contentDocument.getElementById('cxqInput'); txtbxq.addEventListener("122-123-2212", otherparamsifrequired); Can someone please let me know if that can be done using the event listener? Thanks in advance!! -AlSolved1.8KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Object's 'Exists' property returns false while the object still exists and visible on the UI
Hi @wam, It just a conditional statement after the wait statement. The problem is, max wait is 20 seconds, and it's not able to identify the object on the UI (20 seconds later even when the object appears on the page within 5 seconds). Even though the Alias mapping hasn't changed. progLib.waitForVisibility(buttonClx); if(buttonClx.Exists){ buttonClx.ClickButton(); } Thank you!!1.4KViews0likes3CommentsObject's 'Exists' property returns false while the object still exists and visible on the UI
Hi, Lately, I've been having issues with one of the program where I check the availability of an Object on the UI using the Exists property. The object is present on the UI and still the 'Exists' returns false. I've tried debugging it but still the same and not able to figure out why. It's has been working well till date, and suddenly behaving weird. The object's alias mapping hasn't changed at all. Any help would be appreciated. I do it all the time. you can try this command. You have to use ATR file and the following command and you may have to modify ATR file a little bit based on your needs: ATR file is available at this location: https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/54655/#_ga=2.113040135.2058160784.1514922474-1033007317.1512076576 C:\batches\ATR.js "C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestExecute 12\Bin\TestExecute.exe" "C:\Users\Public\Documents\GitRepo\TC.Project\Project.Web.pjs" /r /p:Project.Web /t:"T-US" /el:"C:\TestResults\GetResults" /exit /SilentMode Thank you1.4KViews0likes0Comments
