Re: Test Passed - but a cell in <TFOOT> was clicked instead
Hi Marsha_R, thank you for the suggestions. I hear what you're saying - that I should move away from coordinate clicking when activating controls. But I'm still unclear which method(s) to use. So far, I've been using Click(-1, -1, skNoShift) that simulates a left-button click. They work 99% of the time. I don't know of any other way to activate a control. Do you? Thanks for the help again :) Arlene2.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to interact with an identified element in pop up window
Thanks for that, Alex. I was in the process of taking the 1st step when I realized that, in the Object Browser, there are only 2 objects: Mobile and Sys. And they don't expand at all, i.e. no child objects. That cannot be right? How do I add Chrome browser so that it will appear in the Obj Browser? Totally confused now... I don't understand why, in the NameMapping>Mapped Objects, there can be tons of objects; but none in the Object Browser. Thank you. Okay- I was able to replace Click with Focus, instead of SetFocus for these controls. I made a clip to show you the "2 clicks" I'm trying to accomplish. https://www.screencast.com/t/WsnzQJorJ My Keyword test has 2 operations and they are both Focus. Is this how you'd employ Focus to (also) click on the controls as seen in the video? Attached screenshot shows how I've set it up thus far. Thanks so very much! :-)) Best, Arlene5.9KViews0likes6CommentsRe: TestComplete - TFS and back-ups
Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing your method. It's good to know this is an option. Are you saying that in order to run the tests, we need TestExecute in addition to TestComplete? I was hoping that we will only need another license for TestComplete. The developers are using VisualStudio's T.F.S. I am currently the only QA person in the QA team :-) The Lead Developer is asking if I can check in the TestComplete code/project and it looks feasible. I'm just not sure how or which files to check in. Thanks, Arlene1.8KViews0likes2CommentsRe: CHeck ProjectSuite out from TFS on different PC
Hello Dmitry, I wonder if the same rules/process apply still. We're now on version 12 and at the time of your response, version 9 was being used. I am on the same boat as Nancy and would love to learn how to accomplish the same thing. Thanks very much :) Arlene1.5KViews0likes0Comments
