Another issue after upgrade 12.10 -> 12.50
See two screenshots with the Object Browser window showing the app tree for an application. 12.10 recognized it properly as WindowsForms and could work with it. After upgrade to 12.50... See another screenshot. TC recognizes it differently with the weird object names. And what is worse TC cannot work with it. It just logs that window does not respond. What may have happened? The test project has the settings regarding the object mapping, etc. P.S. The upgrades on TC 12 is really terrible for our company. We rolled back after upgrade 12.10 -> 12.20 as TC was just freezing on web apps, and support guys could not find a solution. And now this. My bosses are really pissed off and told me to look for an automation tool elsewhere. I don't want to rewrite all the tests for another tool so I really hope you can help me.859Views0likes1CommentRe: TestdApps: RunAs mode always have a blank application path after upgrade 12.10 -> 12.50
It cannot be executed, certainly. If it had something to do with a conversion from older versions then it would allow thecreation of new RunAs apps on TC 12.50, I guess. But I see the issue with anew record too.1.1KViews0likes1CommentTestdApps: RunAs mode always have a blank application path after upgrade 12.10 -> 12.50
Hi. I have upgraded TC 12.10 to 12.50. Now I have the issue with all TestedApps which are intended to be running in RunAs mode. Their path becomes blank on every project opening, no matter what TC or TestExecute.See attached screenshot. The second attached file is an excerpt from TestedApps.tcTAs with the information that is stored in the problem tested app. I compared it with TC 12.10 where this 'blank path' problem does not exist and they are identical. It looks like the issue for me. Could you please look at it. P.S. I attempted to create new tested app running in the RunAs mode right in TC12.50. Hi, I encountered the issue with recognitionof web frames on different versions of TC.I am testing web application that consists of apsx pages. Pages use frames to divide content into sections. The test project was created quite long time ago and it was running ok until I installed TC 12.30.1651 on anew server. Attached are screenshots of the Object Browser of two version of TC. I opened the same web page of the same server that includes a frame and looked how TC handles it. As you can see ver 12.10.602 shows children of Frame("list") node and 12.30.1651 does not. Test projects are identical on both TC versions as I just copied the project from 12.10 server to 12.30 server. But I double-checked and confirmed project settings such as object mapping etc. to make sure they are the same. I can't see anything related in release notes. Currently, I can't use 12.30 for further testing of this app. Could anyone please comment on this? Thanks in advance1.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Intermittent 'permission denied' error on checking of contentDocument property of frames
Hi, I applied AlexKaras' solution to my scripts without BuiltIn.varDispartch as it's marked as obsolete in TC12. function WaitUntilLoaded(object, message) { while(!aqObject.IsSupported(object,"contentDocument")) { Delay(Project.Variables.WAIT_TIME,"Waiting for contentDocument..."); } while(!aqObject.IsSupported(object.contentDocument,"readyState")) { Delay(Project.Variables.WAIT_TIME,"Waiting for readyState..."); } while(object.contentDocument.readyState != "complete") { Delay(Project.Variables.WAIT_TIME,message); }; } I added this function to all page initializations. I have been running test procedures over few days and I have not experienced 'permission denied' error. So I can say it works fine. I could say 'perfectly' if sometimes function didn't go into theinfinite loop on first 'contentDocument' check. It happens quite rarely. Many thanksto AlexKaras. I wouldn't find myself that IsSupported property changes its value on frame loading and can be used this way.2.4KViews1like1CommentIntermittent 'permission denied' error on checking of contentDocument property of frames
Hi there. I encounter an intermittent issue while trying to check contentDocument property of Frame object of a web page. Test runs in IE 11. Here's the piece of code .... this.page.WaitFrame("list",Project.Variables.WAIT_TIME); while(this.page.Frame("list").contentDocument.readyState != "complete") { Delay(Project.Variables.WAIT_TIME/2,"Loading list..."); }; .... Some framesare filled with child elements and the idea behind of that Delay inside the loop is to waitfor entire frame fully loaded before going further. From time to time I get 'permission denied' error in the testlog that points to that 'while' statement. I assume it is related to access to contentDocument property. The issue is intermittent but it happens only for Frame object. I never got it for Page object. I would appreciate if anyone has any idea how to get rid of it. Or maybe someone had encountered the same issue and could fix it. Thanks.Solved2.4KViews0likes3Comments
