Re: An attempt to work with Closed Driver on Test Execute 12.31
I am closing driver after opening each time using below code Call DDT.CloseDriver(DDT.CurrentDriver.Name) Same code was running fine last week . Now also it is running fine on few machines on few machine it creating this issue. I read on community if you keep open the excel file which is used then itwill befine and it works for me but I really don't understand why it is happening and it is also not a good idea to open excel sheets if you are using multiple datasheets. I also read downloading Microsoft Access database Engine 2010 might resolve problem that doesn't work for me. The Excel file is stored on C drive . Does it make difference?1.3KViews0likes1CommentAn attempt to work with Closed Driver on Test Execute 12.31

Currently we have 5 users executing Test suits at the same time on different devices. Our setup is we have cloned the main project to 5 own projects and the data set also be duplicated and saved on different location. Each clone pointed to same database but on different location treated as different databse. We are using Excel file as a datatset. e.g. Main Project uses data set one ,Clone one uses data set two and so on. Drawback: If anything (Specially Libraries)would be changed in Main Project, we have to make changes in clone projects too. The reason we have this setup is so that each person executing can run the same test suit or different test suits on different browsers and devices at the same time or execute a run over night. With this setup we can turn on and off test cases as needed for each run being done by that user as shown in below chart.2.8KViews0likes4CommentsRunning same Project from different Test Execute.
I have created a Project in Test Complete. I want to Run the same project on 5 different machines through test execute with different data. Could you tell me what is the best way doing it. I am following below process. Is it correct or we have some provision for this Scenario? I am creating 5 clone project and pointing it to 5 different test data. But the Problem is when i makeany code changes in one Projectin test complete , i need to make same changes to all other 4 clone projects too. Edge is really very very slow to navigate to the site , by the time it navigates to the Page the test gets failed. Note:I have noticed if test complete is running on machine then if you manually also open edge it works very slow else it works fine.1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: I am getting error "Unable to navigate to the "https:sitename" page." for Firefox and Edge.
Thanks for Reply. I have upgraded the Test Complete Version and Test Execute Version to 12.30 now. I am seeing following issues with this version. I am able to run test cases on Firefox. Tool is opening Edge and IE browser also navigate to the site but after that nothing happens and Process stuck (stop) there only. If you End the Run then no error is displayed. I am also seeing that in all browsers except chrome if i stop run in between then tool just displayed stopping but it is not stopped after so long time too then i have to kill process through task manager.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: I am getting error "Unable to navigate to the "https:sitename" page." for Firefox and Edge.
Thanks for instant reply. Yes you are correct. I have Firefox version 53. Do you mean I cannot run my scripts on firefox? Is there any way to run scripts on firefox? I Checked the setting for edge the "testing of Windows store applications "option in test complete is checked. Still I am getting the same error. Edge version is Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.02.1KViews0likes3Comments
