Checking Region images without automatically having Checkpoint ticks and crosses in test log
My aim is to re-implement the following image check method into one that doesn't automatically post a Tick or Cross to the Test Log when Check passes or fails: def original_image_check(self, icon=None): if icon is None: icon = self.frmMain.frmStatusBar.pnlPIFs.framePIF_right Regions.imgCoilCon.Check(icon.imgCoil) My new method which returns True or False is as follows: def new_image_check(self, icon=None): if icon is None: icon = self.frmMain.frmStatusBar.pnlPIFs.framePIF_right if not Regions.Compare(Regions.imgCoilCon, icon.imgCoil, False, False, True, 0, lmMessage): return False return True But when I run the test, I get two "Cannot get a picture object from the input parameter." errors. Iassume it's one error each for the first 2 parameters of the Regions.Compare() call. What am I doing wrong? Regions.imgCoilCon is an image that is stored in my Regions collection. icon.imgCoil is a VCL Object that contains the image on the application I am testingSolved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsWinXP: Unable to obtain version information from the file. The file is too large
Hi, I'm getting this error "Unable to obtain version information from the file. The file is too large" when I obtain the VersionInfo property for a file in a Windows XP Pro SP3 (32-bit) virtual machine. It occurs in the last line of code below. It does not happen in Windows 7, 8.1 or 10. The file is roughly 650MB.Any ideas? var foundFiles = aqFileSystem.FindFiles("..\\Folder\\", "Filename*.exe"); if (foundFiles != null) { var file= foundFiles.Next(); var versionInfo = file.VersionInfo; }540Views0likes0CommentsRe: Log.SaveResultsAs() returns false when test fails
Hi Robert, The test failure is a file comparison fail (I expected it to fail because I added the difference myself). It isthis bit of code: if (Files.CrashReport_config.Check(systemDrive + "\\ProgramData\\Company\\CrashReport.config")) Log.Checkpoint("GID235250_InstallLogging: User Details are correctly written to C:\\ProgramData\\Company\\CrashReport.config"); else Log.Error("GID235250_InstallLogging: User Details are NOT correctly written to C:\\ProgramData\\Company\\CrashReport.config"); The Check returns false which produces the attached logs. Log1.jpg shows the Checkmethodwriting an Error to the log due to the file difference. Log2.jpg shows the file difference. Log3.jpg shows the test moving on to the next Test Item which is the SaveResultAs method. From other tests which I have executed since my original post, I am able to get that SaveResultAs method to work in situations where I'veencountered an error in a test and aborted that test due to my "Stop on error" setting. It appears it's this particular scenario with the file comparison that's not behaving properly.2.4KViews0likes0CommentsLog.SaveResultsAs() returns false when test fails
Hi, I'm trying to export my test results to XML and I'm noticing that theLog.SaveResultsAs() methodfails when my test fails. But succeeds when my test passes. I'm not sure why that would be the case. This is the line of code, I check the "success" variable: var success = Log.SaveResultsAs("..\\XmlTestResults\\TestResults.xml", 0, true, 0); Is there a way to get more information apart from a return value of just true or false? My test is run in a VM via a Network Suite and this SaveResultAs is the last Test Item in theproject to be run on thehost. Attached are my Playback Project Settings.2.5KViews0likes2Comments
