Re: UX Design Questions - Need your opinion
Thank youMarsha_RandShankar_R. Can I ask everyone a follow-up question comparing new design to TestProject? Environment Manager runs tests in parallel based on availability of devices running selected OS/Browser/Resolution. By contrast, the TestProject folder structure runs in sequence. Does this change your opinion of making them similar?2.3KViews0likes2CommentsUX Design Questions - Need your opinion
Hello – SmartBear UX Designer for TestComplete, here again. Nice to see you! We’ve started to receive feedback about our new Environment Manager, which runs Web tests on real devices across multiple browser versions. We have several questions to you regarding this functionality. Follow this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QTJVHCR Also, please review images below. The current folder tree (Workspace left) binds Environment Lists exclusively as Groups, to which Tests must be added. The major change in proposed redesign would “flatten” this structure to more closely match TestProject view behavior and label columns clearer. Do you prefer one UI layout to the other? Responses with your feedback, or specific questions to clarify benefits of either approach are welcome!2.4KViews2likes8CommentsRe: Toolbar Feedback - Open Dicscussion
Hi Ravik, thanks for the kudos and suggestion! In the coming months, we're also looking toimprove workspace-specific toolbars and establish a more directvisual relationship between Name Mapping and the Object Browser, so more accessible controls aredefinitelyunder consideration.508Views0likes0CommentsRe: Toolbar Feedback - Open Dicscussion

Hi baxatob, thanks and we appreciate the feedback! Dependencies gray out. Sorry about your pain point but it gives meideas how tofixand ease any transition toa new layout. How do you like using custom toolbars, turning on/off? Moving around? How often do you edit the buttons/tools displayed? Thanks, Phil2.7KViews1like2CommentsRe: Toolbar Feedback - Open Dicscussion

Hi Alex, I put these together, hopefully I can clarify things a bit! The fundamental difference is that, instead ofletting userscustomize every aspect of the toolbars, from individual buttons towhether they appear on screen, I am proposing to make most of theirtitlesconstantly visible by default as dropdown headers. In the current implementation, the right-click menu to activateeach toolbarhides which functions are in what groups, and hover text is required to identify buttons. The proposed redesign keeps everything in the same place, withthe tradeoff that, aside from Edit and Debug, many items livein dropdowns; although I tried to limit these to ones that don'trequire "instant" direct access. I too see the value ofcommon tools below the main menu with context-specific in windows, so this would not abandon that. Thanks, Phil2.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: TestComplete Checkpoints Survey

Hi cunderw, thanks for your feedback, it looks like our wires got crossed where the images were concerned! I'm posting everything here, please review at your convenienceand let me know if you have any questions. A list appears for reference to Checkpoint types, followed by a matrix proposed for streamliningits functions. Finally, there are three potential Wizard redesigns withhorizontal, vertical, and accordion navigation schemes. Try tofocus on general layouts of the mockups rather than detailslike font, shading and specific workflow steps. Thank you! Phil2.1KViews2likes1CommentRecording Widget Feedback - Open Discussion
