Re: Error creating AlertSite API monitor in SoapUI
Hi Helen Thanks for the info. I'm glad to see the upgraded info on your pricing website. I also submitted an enchancement request. Now to play the waiting game:smileyhappy: Hopefullydenisgoodwincan answer the last question. I can also make a new thread, if needed, since that question isn't related to my original question. When I add a TestCase from my SoapUI project to the AlertSite API Monitor, I noticed that AlertSite counts TestSteps that I have disabled in my TestCase. As both AlertSite Pro and Community Edition ONLY offer 5 steps limitation, it would greatly help if you didn't count the steps that I have disabled in my TestCase in SoapUI. Currently, the only thing I can do now is to delete my disabled TestSteps, add the TestCase to my API Monitor, then add these TestSteps back to my TestCase. Not exactly fun.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Error creating AlertSite API monitor in SoapUI
Hi Helen Ok, I see. Thanks for the info. Threepoints I want to mention/ask about: This should be mentioned on the website where you are comparing different AlertSite editions or somewhere else where it's obvious. If it is, and I've missed it, I apologise. TestSteps are counted even if they are disabled in my SoapUI project? At least I wanted to try a web service with 7 steps and disabled 2 of them to see if that would work, but it didn't. I'm a bit shocked that the paid Pro version also has this 5 step limitation. Most of the web services that we are using have about 10-20 functions (e.i. Test Steps). Any reason why that is beside forcing players to upgrade to Enterprise edition? My understanding on your documentation is that you can only have one web service function per Test Step, isn't that correct? Hi Helen That helped. Adding a new API Monitor, but using the name of the old one worked like a charm. That's what I was looking for. I did try to upload my SoapUI project to AlertSite like you talk about. AS showed my TestSuit and TestCases, but pressing the "Create" button didn't do anything, no errors either. It doesn't matter since I can do it more easy inside SoapUI. Thanks, Gunnar1.9KViews0likes0CommentsError creating AlertSite API monitor in SoapUI
Hi, When trying to add a SoapUI TestStep to the AlertSite API Monitoring, I get an error stating that the SoapUI project requires between 1 to 5 Test Steps. Doesn't AlertSite support more Test Steps or is this because I'm using AlertSite Community Edition? Or maybe this is a limitation in SoapUI? I didn't find any info about this on your website, so I'm wondering what this might be. Hi, First, I'm not sure if this post should be here or on the AlertSite board. Hopefully I'm on the right place. I'm trying out AlertSite and uploaded one of my SoapUI TestCases to the Monitor API option. I'm not sure what to do when changing my TestCase/TestStep. AlertSite keeps monitoring my old TestCases and returns the same errors. There doesn't appear to be any update option inside the Monitor API window inside SoapUI either. Do I need to delete my monitor and add a new one each time I update my TestCase inside SoapUI? Regards, GunnarSolved1.9KViews0likes2Comments
