Override Runner Options Tags to Run All Tags
Hi I'd like to know if there is a way to override the Java Runner class's Option Tags using the 'cucumber.filter.tags' system property overrride at command line to run ALL tags. In other words, we have a value tag in our Runner that will exclude work in progress tests. For other purposes, I'd like to override this 'not' rule on the Runner class and have a run execute with all tags in scope from command line or a new gradle task. Something like using the 'cucumber.filter.tags': 'ALL' We're using the unused_steps plugin and would like to incorporate this into our builds with re-thinking how we re-structure the current set-up. I've got it working - I think there was a library conflict, possibly with the h2 jar file. I'm unsure, but previously I was dropping some unique libraries all at once into bin/ext and lib directories, which we use for our extended dependencies and I must have been overwriting or removing one or many that were necessary for the h2 db. The issue is no longer a problem after I was more careful with this step and cherry-picked in the libraries we needed, only removing those which we've previouslyidentified as conflicts with our custom6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.8KViews1like1CommentRe: Failed to initialize dashboard database / Error Reading Migration File: Found 2 files that match das

yeah i though that may be the issue, i monitored the running processes have not yet seen a case where multiple are running. Also cleared down the db files just in case - still can't get past it - have raised a support incident. I'll update this feed on the result.6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.8KViews2likes0CommentsFailed to initialize dashboard database / Error Reading Migration File: Found 2 files that match das
Hi I've recently upgraded to ReadyAPI 2.4. Initially, there was an issue with the Service Pack as I'm running Windows 7. I've updated to the suggested,KB3125574. System Intel Core i5-4570T CPU 2.90GHZ 64-bit 8.00 GB Ram Windows 7 It seems upon start up there is a local DB issue. I've tried clearing out the DB folder under my user path and ensuring no other ReadyAPI instances are running. In the logs I've seen this: 2018-06-28 13:26:56,626 ERROR [DashboardDbInitializer] Failed to initialize dashboard database liquibase.exception.ChangeLogParseException: Error Reading Migration File: Found 2 files that match dashboard-db-changelog.xml I've searched my ReadyAPI 4.4 install directory and cannot locate a file dashboard-db-changelog.xml. Nor could I locate it anywhere on my C drive. I've upgraded from 2.3-snapshot. I've tried going back and have the same exception! Any thoughts?Solved6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.9KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Failed to initialize dashboard database / Error Reading Migration File: Found 2 files that match das
Unfortunately, I have tried uninstall and re-install and I seem to be in the same situation. I'll raise a support ticket. thanks all6 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.8KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to connect to Microsoft SQL server 2014 local DB from Open source soap UI version?
I'm having similar trouble with a serverName/instanceName scenario connecting to a MS SQL database. Going via the ready api GUI, it appears to strip off the slash from the name. I've tried shortcutting by inserting the connection string directly into the settings.xml, but no luck. I've also tried added the instance name as a property to the connection string, also no luck. Crucially - I had to bypass the Database setup UI and author a connection string directly that EXLUDES the port number ( ms sql with intances don't utilise port numbers as areference point). The ReadyAPI GUI appears to default to 1433 if you leave the port field blank...I inserted a connection string directly into a JDBC Request test step instead of creating a Database reference object.6.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: json object
hi rao sorry for the late reply - i don't recall getting a notification via email that this post was replied to. I don't think the detail for what i'm specifically trying to achieve is important. What I'm really asking is, whilst using the groovy script test step - is there a way to store an object within ready during runtime? There appears to be a feature named 'context.myproperty' that aims to achieve this but when I attempted this the object when called was slightly distorted for an xml object or json object - seems ready couldn't store it as it was passed and corrupted it... do you have any further insight into how i may store an object created within a groovy test step for later use in a test case? The alternative is for me to write and compile a class to achieve this but then I begin to move a lot of the work outside the context of ready api. thanks Andy9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.8KViews0likes1Commentjson object
hi i'm working with REST and JSON payloads and have had some difficulty with soapUI when i attempt to dynamically generate a JSON object from a spreadsheet - it may be my solution - where an indicator resolves to true then my script will proceed to iterate over as many rows as are identified for a request message. Each row represents an item to be added to a JSON array. I've noticed that as I added items to the array and the fitted that array into an object - before my script moed onto the next row, using the datasource/datasource loop, the object could not be retained nor saved to a test case/test suite property. I was forced to save it as a string and re-read as a string up on the next loop - remove the comment characters and convert back to a json object. is there anyway that SOAPui could retrain objects in memory created by a groovy script?9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.9KViews0likes3Comments
