I would just like people to add their experience with the latest version of TC and TE 11.1. I can add more detail if needed, but the reality is, the same tests are now taking more than twice as long to execute than in version 10. In a project that was runnig 4.5 hours, this is a big headache The biggest delay is with finding WPF windows and objects. The WaitObject and FindObject functions just seem laggy overall, no matter which tech I'm testing. Has anyone here similar experiences with the latest version?3.4KViews2likes8CommentsRe: TC11 Findchild extremely slow
I just want to add my experience here. Test Complete and Test Execute is extremely slow in after version 11 update. There are huge delays in finding windows and objects. I'm not sure what happened, tests are taking more than double the amount of time. From what I've read, it is not isolated to a certain type of testing or application3.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: WPF ComboBox truncates after whitespace
My main testing project is a WPF based application and I've never had that problem. Can you use the datacontext property? You will have a lot more options of the state, text etc when expanding this. The option may be under the advanced properties section.725Views0likes0CommentsRe: How do I parameterize Project Suite runs?
My suggestion is to edit the main pjs file externally, before starting up the project.Or keep copies of configurations, and replace them before starting the tests, depending on which test you need to fire off. If you open the PJS file in something like Notepad, you can see how to enable and disable projects. This is easier to mange, than to have multiple copies in one project Hope this helps2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How do I update a database (Oracle) from a keyword test?
I can help you do this via scripting. Let me know if you still need a solution to this. The best ideawould building a function/procedure that connects to the oracle database, and a SQL file location and name as a parameter. This means other testers can just re-use the function, and simply change the script file location.809Views0likes0CommentsRe: Keyword test changes after test execution
Thanks for the reply. So the few TC9 scripts have now been converted, and saved, so they are not a aproblem anymore. However, there are now still a few that state they have changed, after execution and I close TestComplete. I have used diff to compare before and after a run and the files have not physically changed. So I have no idea what TestComplete is seeing that gets changed. I can use the silent option when running, but I would rather fix a potential problem in my script, then going the silent route1.6KViews0likes2Comments
