How / were (or what tools) do you write the Manual tests, since it was depricated in 2016?
Seems that users were able to write the Manual tests (for difficult / too Complex / cannot complete now) in earlier version of TestComplete. What tools people are using now, so it can be automated (and exported to the Test Complete). It seems that MS Excel is one choice. Any other ideas? I had to add a "waitfor delay" and "Top 100" to force the complete response to be displayed. This increases the chance of getting the complete response, but still fails once-a-while. Randomly, SoapUI NG Pro (version 1.8.5) return the xml response in fewer # of lines, which fails the assertions. Running it again, it again, I will get the full (complete) response. WAITFOR DELAY '000:00:15' SELECT TOP 100 * FROM [DBname].[dbo].[Tablename] where servername = 'Servername' AND UniqueID = 'NNNN' order by InsertedDts DESC Question: is there a 'sure' workaround to fix this (ie. to get the complete response all the time). Once a while, there is an error in the response which is not too informative. Thank nmrao, The only reason I have is that I do not know anybody with Groovy background in house and some of the examples on the internet were not working for me. I used JavaScript just in case if the test fails, I could show the 'automation' code to the dev team. Funny thing is that this code worked at some point, then stopped working. may be it got confused switch back and forth between JavaScript and Groovy too many times. I even closed the whole SoapUI and reopen after everylanguage switch!!! Thanks again, mpourali1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: SmartBear/SoapUI5.2.1 opensource: problem with "... Thanks KarelHusa. The code snippet you've provided works for me great. For some strange reason, after setting the language to JavaScript and even after existing SoapUI then reloading it. I could not run the JavaScript.the funny thing is the same code run OK a few days ago.!!! Thanks again, mpourali1.6KViews0likes0CommentsSmartBear/SoapUI5.2.1 opensource: problem with "... No signature of method: java.io.File.exist()
Thanks, in advance. Story: I am trying to See if a file exists on the Network drive, then Delete it. A- I have commented out most lines to narrow down the issue. B- I could not find a working example code in Groovy either. 1. In SoapUI 5.2.1, set the Script Language t- JavaScript. 2. Execute the attached script. It results in:"groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: java.io.File.exist() is applicable for argument types: () values: [] Possible solutions: exists(), list(), list(java.io.FilenameFilter), wait(), wait(long), print(java.lang.Object) error at line: 9 " ========= def xmlfilepath = new File ('\\\\sharedNET\\Mirth\\QA\\External\\HTTPS\\myfile.xml') ; def IDXfilepath = new File ('\\\\Shareddevice\\c$\\SFTP\\Dest\\QA\\Results\\myfile.idx') ; //var xmlfilepath = '\\\\sharedNet\\Mirth\\QA\\External\\HTTPS\\myfile.xml' ; //var IDXfilepath = '\\\\SharedDevice\\c$\\SFTP\\Dest\\QA\\Results\\myfile.idx' ; log.info(xmlfilepath); log.info(IDXfilepath); if (xmlfilepath.exist() ){ // file exist log.info("XML file exist"); delete (xmlfilepath); //xmlfilepath.delete(xmlfilepath); } if (!xmlfilepath.exists() ) { // file is not exist Log.info("XML file does not exist"); } //if ( IDXfilepath.exists() ){ // file exist // Log.info('IDX file exist'); // IDXfilepath.delete(); //} //if (!IDXfilepath.exists()) { // file is not exist // log.info("IDX file does not exist"); //} ============Solved1.7KViews0likes4CommentsWhat version of Crystal Report Editor works with QAC 11?

Hi Again, One way I know to get rid of a hidden char is copy the section into a notepad, then copy all from Notepad and attempt to paste it to the desired field. If you still have issues withe the length, you may want to break down the text and put into multiple fields (i.e., Comment1, Comment2, etc). cheers...2.2KViews1like1CommentRe: how do I cut and paste from excel into a field in a test case?
For a custom field: 1. Log in as an admin. 2. Go to System Configuration > Screen Layouts. 3. Select the desired page. Eg, Requirements. 4.Clickon theCustom Field link. 5. Adjust the Field Size, then Submit the changes. 6. Go back to the page you were entering data, and paste.2.3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Any way to do not minimize testComplete when point to the objects?
If you are investigating on the properties of an object, after you have unchecked the 'Minimize TestComplete" in Tools > Options >Panels>Object Browser, try to use "Display Object Spy" icon in the mail tool bar.1.7KViews0likes1CommentData drive loop is the only way to send a sql to DB. but delete From table results exception
Selecte * from tablename where col1= 55 and col2="abc" works great, but tring to delete from table, results in exception. It deletes the rows then disp[lats the exception with explanation that the query did not create any table. delete from tablename where col1=55 and col2="abc" I end up using a vb script without any problem. I like to make the kaywords to work. The only way I can send a sql qurey is using Data-drive loop. Is there any other way to use keywords to make sql DELETE to work?
